A little bit of common sense can go a long way in keeping your body cool this summer.

 

Avoid direct sunlight

Direct exposure top sunlight raises the body temperature even higher than the air temperature. This can led to sever dehydration, if you must go outdoors, go in the morning or in the evening. Always wear a wide brimmed hat with loose-fitting cotton clothing.

 

Turn off electrical heat sources.

Make sure you keep the lights in a room switched off. Incandescent light bulbs also create heat. Also keep your computer switched off when not in use.

 

Maintain your body temperature

Moving from a hot environment to a cool room doesn’t have any effect on a healthy individual. But if someone suffers from an allergy it can affect them. Top keep yourself and surrounding cool, make sure you keep the air flowing around you. To bring down body temperature, especially when one has gone through a sun stroke, an ice bath is advisable.

 

Drink Up

Make sure you are armed with enough liquids to fight dehydration. Water or lime water is an excellent coolant. One should avoid  alcoholic or aerated drinks during summer.
